Using Life in Bloom
Home: The Home button at the bottom opens your Life in Bloom main page. Tapping the app name at the top also returns Home.
Bottom navigation: Wellness opens Nutrition. Grocery opens your saved things-to-buy list directly. Dog and Money open their sections.
App menu: The three-line button opens Sleep & Mood, Money in Bloom, Food in Bloom, Skills in Bloom, Idea’s in Bloom, Housework, Dog, and Smoking Log. Dog and Money open the same pages from either menu.
Moon Wheel: Tap a segment to open that day's log. Month at a glance includes dated sleep and mood history, plus comparisons based on the feelings you recorded. The comparisons describe entries from the same 8 AM–8 AM tracking day; they do not establish that sleep caused a feeling.
Weekly mood: See seven tracking days, with one row per hour. Scroll the grid sideways on a small screen, or open a day using the date buttons. Tap an awake hour to record or edit how you felt.
Appointments: Add plans for future dates or make them repeat. Use the appointment's usual calendar date and time. The same saved appointment appears in the Weekly Mood grid and Daily Log for its date and time. Plans do not automatically mark you Awake or add an activity or mood. Open an appointment to edit or remove it.
Daily log: Choose Asleep, Unsure, or Awake, then tap 30-minute blocks. Awake opens your activity choices. Pick Cooking, Piano, Sewing, Math, Language, or add an activity of your own. The time-range shortcut fills several blocks at once.
Hourly feelings: Each awake hour can have a feeling and an optional note. Suggested words are shortcuts; you can write your own. Activity labels show what you recorded doing in that hour. Changing a time block keeps any existing mood observation so you can review it.
Dates: Each tracking day runs from 8 AM to 8 AM the next morning. The after-midnight hours are labeled with their actual date. Weeks begin on Monday.
Sleep totals: Hours come from the time blocks you mark yourself. Partial records can be incomplete. A day with some activities recorded has an unknown sleep total until sleep is added or every block is explicitly marked Awake.
Grocery and Money: Keep a product catalog, monthly shopping lists, Food and Household allocations, and food dates. Record a reviewed receipt once to update inventory and the Money ledger together. Checking an item opens its purchase details. Confirm the amount paid to update the shopping trip, inventory, budget history, and ledger together. Bills are planned until you record payment.
Food and Nutrition: Save recipes using catalog ingredients and their label nutrients. Log planned or eaten portions separately for pink Person 1 and purple Person 2. Unknown nutrients remain incomplete. Use soon highlights your recorded food dates and matching saved recipes; a date or suggestion does not establish food safety. Food logging does not automatically change stock.
Staying signed in and offline drafts: The app remembers this device until you sign out, clear its storage, or the account session ends. Household forms save drafts locally. Reconnect and save to post changes; offline drafts do not create spending. Household backups are separate from the personal-journal backup below.
Idea’s in Bloom: Type a note and choose Save note. Open a saved note to edit it, or remove it when you no longer need it.
Dog, Skills, and Smoking: Dog care and Housework use the same completion records, including who helped. Calendar downloads can add your chosen reminders to your calendar. Skills review scores are adjustable planning estimates; your observed ability stays separate. Smoking costs and savings are estimates until you record an actual purchase. Skills and Smoking have a separate private backup in those sections.
Personal backups: Export includes this device’s personal sleep, activities, moods, appointments, earlier device grocery list, and Ideas. Import replaces these personal entries only. Shared household Grocery records stay online and are not replaced by a personal backup. Earlier Sleep in Bloom backups are supported.
